Texas Training School is committed to providing access to its programs, services, and website for individuals with disabilities. This website accessibility statement reflects our commitment to making our online information, student-facing materials, and website content clear, usable, and accessible to the widest reasonable audience.

Our Commitment

Texas Training School is committed to equal access in its programs and services. In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, Texas Training School is committed to providing reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids or services to qualified individuals with disabilities, unless doing so would create an undue burden or fundamentally alter the nature of the program, service, or benefit provided.

Texas Training School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, age, race, color, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability in admissions, employment services, or access to its programs and activities.

Reasonable Accommodations

Texas Training School provides reasonable accommodations and services to qualified individuals with documented disabilities when the School Director determines that the student’s functional limitations require such accommodation or service.

Examples of accommodations may include, when appropriate:

  • additional time on assessments;

  • alternative formats for course materials;

  • adjustments to communication methods;

  • auxiliary aids or services.

 

Accommodation requests are reviewed on an individual basis. Texas Training School will work with each student to identify appropriate support while maintaining the academic integrity and essential requirements of the program.

Accessibility Features and Learning Resources

Based on program offerings, Texas Training School provides reasonable reference materials required to complete program assignments. These resources may include laptop computers, printed books, printed glossaries, read-aloud features, and interactive virtual labs.

 

Students should contact the School Director if they need help accessing course materials or if they believe an accommodation may be needed to participate in a program.

How to Request Accommodations

To request an accommodation, auxiliary aid, or service, please contact the School Director directly. Requests should include enough information for the school to understand the nature of the request and evaluate what reasonable accommodation may be appropriate.

Whenever possible, students should submit accommodation requests with supporting documentation at least two weeks before the first day of class or as soon as practical.

Grievance Procedure

If you believe you have been denied reasonable accommodations or have experienced discrimination on the basis of disability, you are encouraged to contact the School Director to seek resolution.

If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a formal written complaint with the School Director. Texas Training School will investigate the complaint, take appropriate action, and provide a written response by the 10th business day after the formal written complaint is received.
